Blimpie has the best value sandwiches in the Midtown area, far surpassing Jimmy John's and Subway (and possibly beating out Jersey Mike's, which isn't in Detroit). They are the only value sandwich spot in the area that has Prosciutto as a meat option (I'm not counting Rocco's as a value spot, as I find them to be good, but expensive). Their capacolla is deli quality and I'm just impressed with their meat quality. To get your sandwich double stacked is like 2.00, which is awesome. Their owner and employees are awesome people and go above and beyond with their service. It is a very inviting dine in experience, with tons of students and folks from the area commiserating (nobody busses your table or anything as it's a take out spot).

Blimpie!! Been coming here for nearly 20-years! Proud WSU Alum and this place really hits close to home as I used to go here all of the time as a student and now a grad. Nick S is the Man! Real at home, down to earth service. Real WSU ambiance and pride! The food is nostalgic for me and only wish other sub shops had a tenth of their TLC! Looking forward to coming back and utilize more of the rewards program!
I used to come here all the time when I was at Wayne State! Stopped in for lunch and it is still a great place to come!! Great food, friendly service and always great to see the owner, Nick!

The volume of 5 star reviews astounded me, I had to try this Blimpie. The man who handed me my sub called me "Slick Nick" and earned 5 stars right there. The sandwich was amazing, grilled to perfection and matched my abnormal requests perfectly. But honestly it would've needed to be a pretty bad sandwich to lose any stars with how much the workers inside made me smile. I get it now. I can't wait to come back for lunch again soon.

Love stopping at Blimpies when near campus. Mikes always joking around and foods always on point! The owner and his family are always on top of their games when it comes to making your food. Can never go wrong with a Buffalo chicken sub from here. The jalapeño cheddar bread with extra peppers adds the best kick.
You know it's good when you come back even though you transferred to a school 45 minutes away. Been coming here for years now, especially when I was on campus.The food is great and so is the owner Nick. Never had a complaint in regards to customer service or the food. The veggies are always fresh and the food is always hot. It's just like a subway, except it's not, it's better. I remember when I started as a freshman & everyone was always talking about this place & I had no idea what it was. Boy was I missing out. Now I see, it is apart of the Wayne State Experience. You're not a WSU warrior 'till you've blimpiedd. *the smoothies and cookies are tasty*
